Ahenny High Cross: Sterling Silver with Connemara Marble

€132.00

This one-decade pocket rosary is created using sterling silver with 8mm beads in Irish Connemara marble*, a spectrum of green, sepia and dark grey. The rosary has a reproduction cross in sterling silver by Fadó Jewelry of the two-sided Ahenny North High Cross which stands in County Tipperary.  An early example of the Celtic High Cross, it dates back to the 8th or 9th century. A true heirloom treasure!
Your pocket rosary is hand-chained with love and care in Ireland. The centre and cross are linked to the ten Aves and the Pater beads by a hand-wrapped and very secure sterling silver connector.
The rosary comes with a quality pouch for extra protection and ease of use and is presented in a gold-embossed bronze-colour gift box.

One buyer commented: "This rosary seemed a bit expensive when I first saw it on the website, but when I received it, I saw that the materials and craftsmanship were both excellent. It's a truly beautiful item, and my new favorite rosary!"

*Connemara Marble is the most renowned and most beautiful of Ireland's ancient indigenous stones, formed some 900 million years ago in the Precambrian Age. Shot through with swirls of green, sepia and dark grey, this marble is sourced from the Joyce family quarry in the Twelve Bens of Connemara, an unspoilt region of great natural beauty and curvaceous peaks in the West of Ireland that imbues the stone with a gentle nurturing sense of peace.
