Our Lady of Knock Rosaries

Celebrating Marian Ireland
In August 1879, witnesses in the small village of Knock, Co. Mayo, saw an Apparition of Our Lady, St. Joseph, St. John the Evangelist, a Lamb and cross on an altar at the gable wall of the Parish Church. Since then, the Knock apparition site has become a place of pilgrimage for visitors from across the globe. The exquisite Knock Museum, situated in the grounds of the Shrine, and which actively supports  crafters of beautiful items designed and made in Ireland, commissioned me to create for them two handmade heirloom-quality Our Lady of Knock rosary beads which I am privileged to make and also to offer for sale here.
One is in sterling silver with wonderful blue semi-precious chalcedony and a specially created centre based on the Museum's commissioned modern Our Lady of Knock medal. The other uses brass to represent the 'Golden Rose' associated with the apparition where one of the witnesses reported seeing a golden rose in the area of Our Lady's brow. Both rosaries feature an elegant neo-Celtic cross.
